Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services provides high quality, professional emergency medical and fire protection services to the citizens of Cherokee County, Georgia. The county we serve covers nearly a 424-square-mile area that is located just north of Atlanta in north central Georgia. Serving a population of more than 142,000, our organization delivers a full range of emergency services including fire prevention and education, fire suppression, hazardous materials response, emergency medical services, and search and rescue operations.

We are committed to providing our citizens with the best emergency service possible. This is accomplished in part by maintaining a staff of highly trained personnel. Currently, we have twenty-four fire stations throughout the county, with nine squads of emergency medical service personnel. This distribution of fire apparatus, staffed with paramedics and emergency medical technicians (EMTs), reduces the response time to an emergency scene and results in better care for our patients.

It is an honor and privilege for our dedicated group of men and women to serve the citizens of Cherokee County. Our commitment is to continue to provide you with the highest level of fire protection and emergency service possible.

Sincerely,

Raymond Gunnin,
Cherokee County Fire Chief
